|
Kier Construction's project at West Burton Power Station has been commended in the 2012 Structural Steel Design Awards.
Now into their 44th year, the awards recognise the excellence achievable in structural and architectural design with the use of steel, and assess projects’ efficiency, cost effectiveness, aesthetics, sustainability and innovation.

The new facility will supply energy to around 1.5million homes.
SSDA judges commented that West Burton Power Station, which Kier worked on with steelwork contractor Fisher Engineering, was a "good example of practical and economical use of heavy steelwork".
