Nathan, 20, from Charnock, Sheffield, said: "This apprenticeship has taught me so much about the world of work and construction as a career. My mentors at Kier Sheffield have done everything possible to support me and I am proud of what I have already achieved. The range of experience we get through the Kier apprenticeship scheme is great and gives us a real overview of industry as a whole."

Nathan was nominated by his tutors for this award, which recognises and rewards Nathan's dedication and commitment through the first year of his apprenticeship.

Kier regional managing director, Simon Bullen, said: "We are extremely proud of Nathan, as we are of all our apprentices who work hard to make a positive start to their careers.
